1. Torque limiter

Against conventional external torque limiter, the versatile solution lend the following advantage

- unchanged external dimension again standard same motor standard unit

- maintenance free, as the system is permanently lubed

- slip torque can be easily adjusted by mean of a simple manual operation from the outside of the gearbox

- slipping, if event continuous, do not create any damage or wear to the mechanical part since slipping parts are constantly separated by an oil film

We advise against installing this device to lifting equipment

2. Operation principle

The torque limiter basicialy consist of the double tapered clutch with active surface machine on (bronze) worm wheel and hub of output shaft (nudular cast iron GS400/12). Bore of output shaft allow shaft mounting of gear unit onto driven machine.

Active surface of the torque limiter are pressed against each other by thrust generated by adquately proportioned of spring washer. Tranmissible torque is proportional to axial force applied by the spring and adjustment  of torque setting is easily conducted manually throught an external ring nut
